Cassandra B. Bagay

Cassandra B. Bagay is a family law attorney with extensive experience in all areas of family law, including divorce, post-divorce, paternity, temporary restraining orders, guardianships, and child custody and child support. She is a graduate of Iolani School and received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Williams College in 2010. Ms. Bagay went on to earn her Juris Doctor in 2014 from the William S. Richardson School of Law - University of Hawai’i. During law school, Ms. Bagay served on the boards of several community outreach organizations, including Law for Youth Empowerment, Students for Public Outreach and Civic Education, and the Filipino Law Students Association. 

During law school, Ms. Bagay also served as a law clerk assisting a Honolulu family law firm with family law cases, including divorce and paternity actions. She later joined the firm as an associate attorney, practicing exclusively in the area of family law.  Thereafter, Ms. Bagay served as a staff attorney for the Domestic Violence Action Center (DVAC). She was the lead attorney for DVAC cases within the Pulama I Ka 'Ohana (PIKO) Program, which provided specialized attention to cases involving children and child trauma. In addition to divorce, paternity, and custody-related cases, she also assisted clients in numerous temporary restraining order matters.

Following her work with DVAC, Ms. Bagay joined Kleintop & Luria, LLP and then Hartley & McGhee, LLLP, both well-known family law firms in Hawaii.  Ms. Bagay’s work during those years included handling divorce cases ranging from simple, uncontested matters to complex cases involving extensive assets and challenging child custody issues.  She continues to represent a wide array of clients within the family law field until today.
